Issue:
When processing payment POS shows the error message:
"The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. Inaccessible logs: {log name}"
Solution:
Grant proper right to the user account under which POS is running.
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK. The Registry Editor window appears.
- Locate the following registry subkey: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\RMH Heartland Payment Processing"
- Right-click RMH Heartland Payment Processing and then click Permissions. The Permissions for RMH Heartland Payment Processing dialog box appears.
- Click Add, add the user account or group that you want and set the following permissions: “Full Control”
Restart POS after changes.

I have this same issue but the registry key does not exist on Windows 10
